The following materials my prove useful to OVC grantees seeking guidance
in administering or managing their grants or developing and managing victim
services programs. A general listing of all OVC
publications is also available.
OVC Publishing Guidelines for Print and Multimedia (Second Edition, June 2007)
This OVC guide (NCJ 216617) describes the criteria grantees must follow when preparing products for publication. The guidelines, which were originally published in 2004, now include a section on producing OVC-funded videos (e.g., VHS tapes, DVDs) and an expanded copyright discussion. Other topics include requirements for writing Web-based publications, the types of OVC publications, the publication submission process, word processing and formatting guidelines, and legal and policy requirements. The guidelines are designed to help grantees work with OVC to produce a quality product that exceeds professional standards of excellence. 
State Crime Victim Compensation and Assistance Grant Programs (April 2004)
This e-pub (FS 000306) provides information about OVC's partnership with state agencies to provide victim compensation and victim assistance to individuals. This e-pub links to a listing of state administrators to contact to obtain direct services for victims.
Subgrantees' Training Guide: Victims of Crime Act, Victims Assistance
Grant Program (September 1999)
This OVC training guide (NCJ 175717) provides technical assistance to
victim service organizations funded by the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA)
in three areas: developing human resources, managing money and fundraising,
and adhering to VOCA victim assistance grant guidelines.
