National Crime Victims' Rights Week
April 18–24, 2010

Crime Victims' Rights: Fairness. Dignity. Respect.

Each April since 1981, OVC has helped lead communities throughout the country in their observances of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW). Rallies, candlelight vigils, and a host of commemorative activities are held each year to promote victims' rights and to honor crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf.

NCVRW 2010 Theme and Colors

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 18-24, 2010, will highlight “Crime Victims’ Rights: Fairness. Dignity. Respect.” These ideals are critical to the decades-long struggle for justice by victims and advocates.

The colors selected to help celebrate NCVRW are yellow, orange, red, and blue as specified in the color key table below. The selected fonts are Arial and Arial Narrow for the body text and Smart Sans for artwork.

NCVRW Resource Guide

The NCVRW Resource Guide will help you promote community awareness of crime victim issues. As in past years, the guide will be available in both hardcopy and electronic formats. However, in an effort to conserve printing materials, leave a smaller environmental footprint, and allow for an earlier release date, this year OVC will be mailing to the field a scaled-down version of the guide. It will include hard copies of all camera-ready artwork (including the black and white public awareness posters), as well as the entire contents of the 2010 NCVRW Resource Guide on CD-ROM. Copies of the large color theme poster will be distributed separately to the field in conjunction with these efforts. Also, the comprehensive Resource Guide will once again be available for download on the OVC Web site.

Stay tuned to find out when the 2010 Resource Guide will be available.

To see the types of materials that will be provided in the guide, view the 2009 Resource Guide for National Crime Victims' Rights Week.

PSAs from previous years can also be viewed online.
