Grants.gov lists solicitations from all Federal agencies and lets you sign up to be notified when the Department of Justice or other agencies issue a solicitation.

NOTE: Announcements will not be sent by Grants.gov for the following funding programs:
  • Forensic DNA Backlog Reduction Program
  • Convicted Offender and/or Aresstee DNA Backlog Reductio Program
  • Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grants Program

Funding

NIJ funds research, development, and evaluation about criminal justice through competitive solicitations. The focus of the solicitations varies from year to year based on research priorities and available funding.

All applications are made through Grants.gov

NIJ does not fund proposals primarily to purchase equipment, materials, or supplies, or to provide training or direct services. See Laboratory Enhancement Funding for exceptions and Funding for Equipment for other available resource.
