Percent of homicides in which offender was known to the victim by age of victim, 1976-2005

For all homicide victims, the percentage who knew the offender began at 85.9 for victims less than 1 year old and rose, reaching 86.5 for 1 year old victims. Then the percentage fell, reaching a low of 39.1 for 88 year old victims, before increasing, reaching 41.7 for 89 year old victims. Then it decreased, reaching 41.6 for 90 year old victims.
